1995　夫の転勤によりフランス・パリ駐在中、上絵付けに出会い現地講座に通い始める
2002　イギリス駐在。　ロンドンでフランソワーズ　グローブ氏に師事
2003，2004、2005　ジジブランチセミナー　in London　に参加
2006　国立マイセン磁器製作所 ペインティング＆クリエイティブセミナー修了
2007　英国資格認定団体 クラフト＆チャイナペインティング資格取得
2008　カナダ駐在。トロントにてアトリエ　シュガーミルを開設
2010　帰国後、東京自由が丘でアトリエ　シュガーミルを再開
2011　彩色チャイナペインティング認定講師資格取得

I ,was born in Tokyo, Japan. I graduated from Sophia University. After graduation, I followed my husband to foreign postings for more than 13 years and brought up two children.

I started painting and porcelain decorating in Paris, France in 1995.

I dedicated myself to European style painting with Francoise M Grove and Gigi Branch for more than 5 years in London, UK. I’ve also attended various seminars held by Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in Germany to brush up my painting techniques. Just after I moved to Toronto, Canada in 2008, I started teaching at my own studio to a group of international students.

On my return to Japan in 2010, I set up my studio to enjoy hobby porcelain painting in my hometown, Tokyo. In 2014, I established a new studio in  Jiyuugaoka, Tokyo and Funabashi, Chiba.

I am certified by City and Guilds of London institute in DESIGN AND CRAFT and in THE CONTEXT OF CHINA PAINTING.

Between 2014 and 2017, I received three awards in the competitions: THE JAPAN KILN ART ASSOCIATION CONTEST organized by the Japan Kiln Art Association.

I am very inspired by European culture and artistic expressionism through hand painted porcelain that is made by long history of aristocracy. I also aim to expand the interest of art lovers in traditional European china painting. Accordingly, I constantly research on creating new and unique designs as well as interpreting designs from the works of classical artists. I own a collection of over 150 publications on art, hand painted china, antique porcelain, and museum collections to share with my students.
